Create Stations at Constant Elevation
Use this option to generate evenly-spaced calculation stations across your model. This is a quick way to generate stations for a theoretical model. Observed values will be "dummy" values and will not appear in the anomaly panes. You have the option of importing actual observations later, or copying values from a spreadsheet into the Anomaly Spreadsheet.
Create Stations with Dummy Observations dialog options
Starting X coordinate |
Specify the initial station location. |
Spacing |
Enter the distance between consecutive stations. |
Number of stations |
Specify the total number of stations to create. |
Last X coordinate |
Specify the location of the last station coordinate. |
Reference elevation |
Input the elevation to be used for all new stations. |
Elevation relative to |
Specify whether the elevation is relative to sea level or topography. |
You can create all of the stations at some constant elevation (e.g. 0) and later move the stations to the topographic surface or draped at a constant elevation above the topographic surface using the Elevation Adjust functions in the Profile menu.
