Configure Coordinates in Trace-header Fields

The default utilizes coordinate data within the trace headers. By default, byte-offset 80 contains the X-coordinate and offset 84 contains the Y-coordinate, and the data type for the group coordinates is a four-byte integer. However, some SEG-Y files may store the coordinates in other data formats and other locations.

Configuring an External Navigation File

  1. Under Navigation, select Coordinates in Trace-header fields.

  2. Specify the X Coordinate and Y Coordinate fields and Coordinate Scaling.

  3. From the Data Format drop-down list, choose the correct byte type.

  4. Click Apply to save your changes.
