GM-SYS Profile Model Document

A GM-SYS Profile model consists of a model file, an associated data directory, and an XML metadata file. This format was introduced in Oasis montaj version 9.8 to make the models more robust and portable and to be consistent with other models in Oasis montaj.

External files that are to be displayed within the model document (e.g. raster grids and images, LAS well files, symbol files) are stored in the model data directory.

Application Notes

When a legacy model is opened in Oasis montaj 9.8 or later, it will be automatically converted to the updated model format specification. External dependencies (e.g. LAS well files) will be copied into the model. You will be prompted to locate any dependent external files that cannot be found automatically. If a dependent file is not located, it will not be included in the updated model.

The original legacy model files are automatically archived in a zip-file in the local directory when a model is upgraded.
