Status Bar

The Status bar, located at the bottom of the Main window, provides information about the present status of GM-SYS Profile Modelling. The bar is segmented into five fields described, from left-to-right, below.

1. The present status of the mouse operation. When performing one of the editing operations from the Action menu, this field reports error information if an operation is used improperly or out of context.

2. The current mouse operation selected from the Action menu. The default is Location, which shows the location.

3. The X,Y coordinates of the mouse in whichever pane the mouse is moving. From the Display menu, select Show Coordinates to control whether the values shown are profile or external (real-world) coordinates.

4. The Z coordinates of the mouse using the units of the pane in which it is moving.

5. The vertical exaggeration of the Cross-Section pane as presently displayed.
