Export a SEG-Y File as a Geosoft Database (GDB)

Write the selected traces and samples to a Geosoft database (GDB). Each trace is stored in a single database row, with samples stored in an array channel.

The file must be processed using the Process SEG-Y command before the export.

To Export a SEG-Y File as a Geosoft Database

1. On the File menu, select Export as Geosoft Database (GDB). The SEG-Y to GDB Export dialog appears.

2. Click More to select which data and fields to export or leave the default setting.

3. On Output GDB File, browse to the desired location for the file.

4. Type the File name for the output GDB file.

5. Click Save. You are returned to the Export dialog.

6. Click OK. The dialog closes.
