Export Solutions to New GM-SYS Model

The Pdepth > Export Solutions to New GM-SYS Model option (GMSMODSOL GX) is a GX wrapper for Export Solutions for GM-SYS and Export Profiles to GM-SYS. Export Solution for GM-SYS extracts the Pdepth solutions from the current database into GM‑SYS symbol files, and then writes the .gms file needed to plot the solutions as symbols in GM-SYS Profile Modelling. A symbol file is created for each selected line in the current database, then Export Profiles to GM-SYS is run to make GM-SYS Profile Modelling models from the selected database lines.

Export Solutions to New GM-SYS Model dialog options

File name root (+line #)	Root of output file name. The line # will be appended to this root name to generate the filename. <root><line#>.<extension>
Magnetic channel	The database channel containing the magnetics values on which the depth solutions are based.
Solutions channel	The database channel containing the depth solution flags on which the symbol file will be based.
Distance units	The units of measure to be used in the GM-SYS Profile Modelling model(s).
Horizontal values	"Depths" mean z+ down, "Elevations" mean z- down. This value will be passed on to GMSMULTI.GX.

Application Notes

This GX is a wrapper which runs GMSXSOL.GX, creating the GM‑SYS symbol file, as well as the .gms file used by GM-SYS Profile Modelling to plot the depth solutions as symbols. It then runs GMSMULTI.GX on the profile database to create the GM-SYS Profile Modelling model(s). The symbol files will then be automatically imported into the models when GM-SYS Profile Modelling opens the model(s).
