Koenigsberger Ratio
Q (the Koenigsberger ratio) is simply the ratio of remanent to induced magnetization:
Q = |Mr|/|Mi| = Mr/(χH) (Blakely, 1995, page 90)
Where:
Mr is remanent magnetization,
Mi is induced magnetization,
χ is the susceptibility, and
H is the Earth’s field
Given any two of the three quantities Mr, Mi, or Q, you can easily calculate the third. GM-SYS Profile allows you to specify H , Mr, and χ for a body. If you do not have either Mr or χ, you need to calculate it from the equation above by hand.
Make sure that you use consistent units if you do this calculation. Although susceptibility is dimensionless, the values are different in the SI and emu systems (Blakely, 1995, page 418).
