Add Database Information
In Oasis montaj, you have the option of adding header, survey and other information for each database that you create. This functionality allows you to record details for future use by yourself and others who have access to the database. Examples of details you may want to record include descriptions of fields, survey acquisition dates and instrumentation, or major processing steps.
Run the DBACTLOG GX or use the Database> Edit Database Audit Log menu option to edit the comment block of a database file. The comment block is an RTF file (*.rtf) that is created by Oasis montaj: you can add to it either by using the built-in functionality in the system or with a standard Windows editor, such as WordPad or Notepad.
The system uses your currently assigned text editor to open a file called '<current_database>.rtf'.
If you have not specified your default text file editor, the Select a Default Text Editor dialog will be displayed: use the browse button to locate a text editor on your computer (notepad.exe is recommended) and click OK.
Add any information that you want to associate with the database and then save the RTF file and exit. If you want to add further comments, simply repeat this process. The comments will be saved in your active database file (*.gdb file).
