Export Data to Geosoft GBN

Use the Database > Export > Geosoft GBN menu option (EXPGBN GX) to export data to a Geosoft binary (GBN) file. Either displayed data channels or all data channels may be exported, and the displayed line, selected lines or all lines may be exported. If the output file(s) already exist, they will be overwritten.

To export data to a Geosoft binary file:

On the Database menu, select Export then Geosoft GBN.
The Export to Geosoft GBN dialog is displayed.
In the Output GBN file name text box, specify the new file (*.gbn).
Select the Channels to save from one of the options below:
- Displayed channels
- All database channels
Select the Lines to save from one of the options below:
- Selected lines
- Displayed line
- All lines
Click the OK button, and the data is exported to a Geosoft GBN file format.

Output GBN file name

The new file name, .gbn assumed.

Script Parameter: EXPGBN.FILE

Channels to save

Select "Displayed channels" or "All database channels".

Script Parameter: EXPGBN.CHAN

Lines to save

Select "Displayed line", "Selected lines" or "All lines".

Script Parameter: EXPGBN.LINE
