Change Channel Fid

Use the Database Tools > Channel Tools > Change Channel Fid menu option (NEWFID GX) to change the fiducial numbering of a channel or selection of channels.

Channel

Select the name of the channel to change. If "Select from list" is selected, the two-panel selection tool is brought up, and the user can select any combination of channels to change the FIDs on all at once.

Script Parameter: NEWFID.CHAN (The name of the channel to change, or if set to "Select from list", then provide a CSV string of channel names in the parameter NEWFID.CHANNELS – e.g. "CH1,CH2,CH3")

New fiducial start

Specify the new start fiducial.

Script Parameter: NEWFID.START

New fiducial increment

Specify the new fiducial increment, must be > 0.

Script Parameter: NEWFID.INCREMENT

Lines to change

Select the lines to change as, "Displayed line", "Selected lines", and "All lines".

Script Parameter: NEWFID.LINE

Application Notes

If the new start or increment is not specified, the current setting for start or increment will remain the same.
