Same Fid Start and Increment

Use the Database Tools > Database Utilities > Same Fid Start and Increment menu option (RESAMPDB GX) to change the fid sampling of a database based on a reference channel. This is similar to the REFIDDB GX, but only the fiducial start, increment and number of samples in the reference channel are used, not the data values themselves, in order to compute the fiducials in the resampled database.

Note: If you wish to resample the database based on a distance reference channel, using the distance values themselves to compute the new FID start and increment, use the REFIDDB GX.

Reference channel

Select the Fiducial reference channel. Only the fiducial start, fiducial increment and number of data values from the reference channel is used; the data values themselves are ignored. Script Parameter: REFIDDB.REF

Application Notes

The RESAMPDB GX will produce a database with all channels sharing the same fiducial start and increment, and can therefore be used to remove the red bars which indicate that channels are not displayed to their true fiducial indices. Data will be interpolated, or possibly skipped, in order to make this possible.

As this GX may alter data throughout the database, it is recommended to backup your data.
