Save Database As

Use the Database > Save As menu option (SAVEGDB GX) to save the current database to a new file.

New database file

The name of the new database file.

Script Parameter: SAVEGDB.NAME

Compression type

The type of compression to use with the new database:

  1. None - No compression of any kind

  2. Speed - Compress with database performance in mind. This is usually faster than no compression.

  3. Size - Compress with database size in mind. This will achieve the smallest database size.

Application Notes

The current database will be saved to a new file; all changes will be committed to the new file. The original database will be closed after discarding any changes.
