Application Notes
You may be running different scenarios to plan the same survey. Each scenario can be saved under a separate survey name in the same working folder. The files related to each survey are prepended by the survey name in order to avoid conflict.
The planning tool provides a good indication of the subarea coverage. However, the projected subareas may not always be practical. To customize the subareas you could use the planned subareas as the backdrop and either modify them or delete the unnecessary ones and create new ones. This is best done on a map that displays the topography and preferable roads and access areas.
Output Files
The edited subarea polygons are saved in the Survey name subfolder.
*The GX tool will search in the "...\Geosoft\Desktop Applications \gx" folder. The GX.Net tools, however, are embedded in the geogxnet.dll located in the "...\Geosoft\Desktop Applications \bin" folder. If running this GX interactively, bypassing the menu, first change the folder to point to the "bin" folder, then supply the GX.Net tool in the specified format.
