Pseudo-Section Data Tab

Use the Data tab of the Pseudo-Section Parameters dialog to select channels to plot as pseudo-sections, as well as gridded section data to display as sections.

Plot

Check the box to turn on or turn off the selected pseudo-section plot.

Script Parameter: IP.ISPLOTTED# (# is an integer from 1 to 8) (0:No, 1:Yes, default is 1).

Channel or Grid

Select a channel from the list.

  • Repeat values in the selected data channel, for which the QC_Res flag is not DUMMY, get averaged on the fly before gridding the data.

    • If "Plot a section grid" is chosen, a section grid may be plotted. A section grid is one where the "Y" direction is understood to stand for elevation. The Select grid file name dialog opens automatically, enabling you to select the grid file, and then the file name is displayed in the drop-down list.

    Script Parameter: IP.CHAN1, IP.CHAN2, ... IP.CHAN5

    Script Parameter: (for grids) IP.GRID#

    Define

    Select the Define button to bring up the Grid Section Parameters/Channel Section Parameters dialog in order to set specific plotting options for individual pseudo-sections or section grids.

    Profiles

    Plot

    Check the box in order to plot a data profile in a window above the pseudo-sections. Only pseudo-sections enable you to plot a profile.

    Script Parameter: IP.PPLOT# (# is an integer from 1 to 8) (0:No, 1:Yes: default is 1)

    Define

    Select the Define button to bring up the Channel Profile Parameters dialog, in order to set specific plotting options for profiles. See Application Notes below for details on default profile colours.

    Window

    Up to six different profile windows can be plotted above the pseudo-sections. Select which window to place the current profile in. (Those windows which are not assigned a profile are not plotted).

    Profile Options - Colours

    To differentiate between plotted profiles, by default, distinct colours are assigned to them. The overall default colour and the first colour chosen in any single profile window is black. For subsequent profiles displayed in a single window, colours automatically default to those used in the database profile plots (see Profile Options - Colours). Note that the eight consecutive colours assigned to profiles have been selected to be in contrast to each other and visible. These colours are then recycled if more than eight channel profiles are being plotted.
