Import Data from a Grid File

Use the IPIMPGRID GX to import data from a grid file.

Grid file	The file to import. Script Parameter: IP.IMPGRID
Channel	The channel to write the data to. Script Parameter: IP.IMPGRIDCHAN

Application Notes

Imported values are interpolated from the input grid, at the locations specified by the X and Y channels. If the position to be looked up lies outside the grid, the returned value is a dummy.

A "Maker" is added to the channel, which allows you to quickly re-import the values (for instance if X or Y values are altered) by selecting the "Import grid data..." item after right-clicking the channel title with your mouse. The values are also automatically re-imported whenever "Recalculate..." is selected from the IP menu.
