grid points and grid cells
Grid points should not be confused with 'grid cells', which is a term also commonly used to describe the nodes of a grid.
Grid cells either define the area enclosed by four grid points, or define a rectangular area of the same size as the grid point/row separation and centred on each grid point. This makes the use of the term 'grid cell' ambiguous. By only defining a grid point, it is up to the GXF reader to interpret the use of 'grid cells' with respect to the importing software system.
