Geosoft xyz file format
Geosoft XYZ data is ASCII positional data defined by locations (X and Y) and a data value (Z) in a line-format (i.e., line numbers are provided on a separate line preceding the actual data which is arranged in columns).
The following is a sample of an *.xyz data file:
If you import data that is already in Geosoft line format, the data is placed in lines as specified in the XYZ file.
You can add //flight and //date specifications anywhere in your XYZ file. The system applies this information to all following lines until the next //flight or //date statement occurs. You can use this functionality to add multiple flights and dates for flights flown overnight.
