New Blank Map Template

Use the Map Tools > Map Template > New Blank Map Template menu option (geogxnet.dll(Geosoft.GX.MapTemplate.MapTemplate;CreateEmpty)*), to add a blank map template to the current project.

List of available sizes and orientations	Select the page size to base the map template on and the orientation of the new blank template. The template size may also be influenced by using a view as the fitting view with margins in the Base view properties. This effectively gives what is known as a "map" style map in Oasis montaj.

Application Notes

When you are satisfied with your selection, click the OK button. The Save Map Template As dialog will be displayed. It is always recommended to save all you project data in your current project directory. Specify a name and click the Save button.

Templates are usually added to a project with the intent specifically to be used for a project (it is possible to create maps from templates in a project as well as from ones in the library) or to manipulate the layout and contents and then adding the template back to the library with the same or different name.
