Search/Replace

Use the Database Tools > Channel Tools > Search/Replace menu option (SEARCHREPLACE GX) to search and replace values in a channel.

Search/Replace dialog options

Channel	The name of the channel to process. All data in all selected channels will be processed. Script Parameter: SEARCHREPLACE.CHANNEL
Value to replace	The value to be replaced. The value must be formatted exactly as displayed. Script Parameter: SEARCHREPLACE.VALUE
Replacement	The replacement value or string. The replacement value must be formatted the same as the displayed channel values. Script Parameter: SEARCHREPLACE.REPLACEMENT

Application Notes

The search string must to be exact; wild cards (such as ? and *) are not accepted.

The search is performed on all selected lines in the database. A message is displayed to the user which gives the channel searched, the number of lines selected and searched, the number of items replaced, and the number of lines on which at least one item was replaced.
