Default Data Drawing View

Use the Map Tools > Default Data Drawing View menu option ( SETDATAV GX) to set the current default drawing view on the currently open map.

All drawing of spatial data on a map, such as location plots or contours, is placed in the current default drawing view. If a map has more than one data view, you can use this GX to change the default drawing view before running a GX that draws data. If the drawing view is a 3D view, you will also be prompted to select which plane of the 3D view is to be used.

Note that simply selecting the desired view on the map will also change the default drawing view. The advantage of using this GX is that the change can be recorded in a script.
