ground line data

Ground-based line data is collected along relatively straight lines and roughly parallel lines. The survey lines normally have a line number that is related to the local coordinate system. Data readings can be taken anywhere along a line at identified station numbers, which are normally related to a ground coordinate system.

  • If you are planning on adding more data to your database, we recommend creating a fiducial channel based on your station number data. This will enable you, for example, to import data at 50m and later import data at 25m into the same database.
