layers

Oasis montaj uses layers to determine the order in which objects are displayed (rendered) on a map. Each layer consists of groups of one or more objects placed on the blank map sheet. These objects are the different elements that make up a map such as the north arrow, title text, and scale bar. Even data such as grids and images are considered Groups. An object you add to a map, such as a polygon or line, is added to a group. You can edit, move, hide, and mask groups. You can also move groups in front and behind each other.
