ODBC is a standard application programming interface (API) for accessing database management systems (DBMS).

To check your ODBC settings in Windows, double click on the ODBC Data Sources (32 -bit)/(64-bit) icon in your Windows Control Panel \All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools.
