To Subset a Database Based on a Polygon Mask File

  1. Make sure a database is selected in your project.

  2. On the Geochem Analysis menu, click Classify by Region > Apply Mask to Data. The Apply Mask to Data dialog is displayed.

  3. Type the name of your new subset database and select the masked channel (default ChemMask); click the OK button. The system creates the subset database and displays it on your screen.
