Oasis montaj Menus

The Oasis montaj standard menus are displayed directly under the title bar in your Oasis montaj project. These drop-down menus provide access to the application capabilities. See the Manage Menus topic for more information on adding and removing menus.

Customize Your Projects

You can display additional menus when you purchase additional extensions and/or services as part of your subscriptions.

Each licensed application or extension will be displayed as a set of menu options under Manage Menus – use this dialog to load all the menus and submenus that you need to use.

Your Oasis montaj project keeps track of which menus are displayed. This means that you can have a different set of menus displayed for each project. This is especially useful if you are working on multiple projects and using many applications or extensions. For example, if you are working on a geochemistry project, you may want to display different menus than if you are working on an UXO project. By creating separate projects you can customize the Oasis montaj environment.

Create Your Own Custom Menus

If you find that you use specific GXs more often than others or that you have a specific set of GXs that you run in sequence, you may want to add them to your own custom menus. This can be accomplished by creating Oasis montaj menu files.

Oasis montaj menu files (*.OMN and *.SMN) are ASCII files that describe the submenus, Geosoft eXecutables (GXs), GX.Net procedures, and dependencies attached to a specified menu. Click here to find out how to create your own menus.
