Create a New Overlay Group dialog options

Using the View drop-down list, select the map ‘View’ that you want the new overlay group to be placed in. This must be the same view that includes the scatter or triplot tool with which the overlay is to be associated, otherwise the locations of the map items will be incorrect.

New group name
|
Specify the New group name in the text box provided. Make it something useful like "Overlay", so it is easily identifiable when you save it later to a new overlay map.
