Drillhole ASCII Import Wizard - Select Data Type

Use this wizard dialog to specify how the data in the ASCII import file is formatted to import into a Drillhole database.

Data Input Format

Ascii Data

Select the Ascii Data radio button if import data is in a ASCII format.

Vulcan

Select the Vulcan radio button if import data is in a Vulcan format.

Types of Data to Import

Hole Collar Data

Hole-collar data includes (at a minimum); Hole ID, Easting, Northing and Relative Level (Elevation) channels.

  • Hole-Collar data can also include Azimuth, Dip, and Depth channels.

Dip-Azimuth Survey

Dip-Azimuth survey data includes hole deviation information in Hole ID, Depth, Azimuth, and Dip channels. Note: Survey channels are optional.

Easting-Northing Survey

Easting-Northing survey data includes hole deviation information in Hole ID, Depth, Easting, Northing, and Elevation channels.

  • Survey channels are optional.

From-To Data

From-To data is data acquired over specified depth intervals down the hole.

Point Data

Point data is data acquired in discrete measurements made at a specific depth, for instance 85.6 m.

Preview Window

File name

The line directly above the preview window displays the file name that is being imported.

Display window

The window at the bottom the dialog box displays the ASCII data file to be imported.
