Manage Menus

Use the Project > Manage Menus menu option or click the Manage Menus button on the Project Explorer toolbar to load or unload menus from the main menu bar in your Oasis montaj project.

Standard Menus	The Standard Menus node lists the default menus in your application. By default, all checked menus are loaded in new projects.
Extensions	If you are licensed for extensions, their corresponding menus appear under the Extensions node. For more details, refer to the Application Notes section.
Custom Extensions	Custom extensions licensed for your organization appear under the Custom Extensions node.
User Menus	The User Menus node appears when the system detects menu files (.omn) in your user menu folder: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Geosoft\Desktop Applications\omn. Your personal menus are listed here. See the Application Notes* section for further details.
[Select All]	Click to select all available menus.
[Restore Defaults]	Click to load only the default menus.

Application Notes

In new projects, standard menus load automatically, but licensed extensions must be manually enabled. You can activate them from the Extensions node or from the Custom Extensions node if your organization has licensed custom extensions. Personal menus, if created, appear under User Menus. For more details, see Create Custom Menus.

Checkbox States and Functionality

Expanding an extension node reveals its associated menus.

Each extension has a checkbox indicating the state of its menus, whether expanded or collapsed. It indicates one of the following states:

Unchecked – No menus selected.

Checked – All menus selected.

Partially Checked – Some menus selected.

The extension checkbox functions as a toggle, propagating selection changes across its menus.

If a collapsed top-level node contains selected menus and the Manage Menus dialog is closed, the node will automatically expand when reopened, displaying current selections.

Adding and Removing Menus

You can add or remove menus as needed. For instance, when activating a new subscription, one of the first steps is to open a project and add the relevant menus:

To load one or more menus, check the desired items and click OK. The selected menus will appear on the main menu bar in your current Oasis montaj project.
To unload menus, uncheck the items and click OK. The menus will be removed from the main menu bar in your current Oasis montaj project.
