Import Minesight File

Use the Map > Import > Minesight File menu option (geogxnet.dll(Geosoft.GX.Minesight.Minesight;Run)*), to import a Minesight file into an Oasis montaj map.

Use the Add to 3D > Imports > Minesight File menu option (geogxnet.dll(Geosoft.GX.Minesight.Minesight;Run)*), to add a Minesight file to a 3D View.

File to import

Select the Minesight file to import to the current 3D view.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.INPUTFILE

File to import

Select the Minesight file to import.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.INPUTFILE

Create new map

Select this option to import the file on a new map.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.NEWMAP (Option: 1 : new map)

(This option will be selected if no current map is detected.)

Use current map

Select to import file to current open map.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.NEWMAP (Option: 0 : current map)

(This option will be selected if a current map is detected.)

Map Details (Create new map)

Map name

Specify the name of the new map.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.MAPNAME

Map scale

Optional. If not specified, the new map will be created with a map scale determined to fit the data.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.MAPSCALE

2D plan view

Select to display in 2D plan view.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.NEWMAPDETAILSMODE (0:  plan view)

2D E-W section view

Select to display in 2D E-W section view.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.NEWMAPDETAILSMODE (1: E-W section view)

2D N-S section view

Select to display in 2D N-S section view.

Script Parameter: MINESIGHT.NEWMAPDETAILSMODE (2: N-S section view)

Application Notes

*The GX.NET tools are embedded in the geogxnet.dll file located in the \Geosoft\Desktop Applications\bin folder. To run this GX interactively (outside the menu), first navigate to the bin directory and provide the GX.NET tool in the specified format. See the Run GX topic for more guidance.

This option can be used to import Minesight files geometry elements into an Oasis montaj map or 3D view. These geometry elements can be markers (a set of points), polylines/polygons (connected line segments), or shells (surfaces and solids). They are all contained within Minesight MSR file type.
