Application Notes
The voxel slices are extracted along the central plane of the plan or section being plotted. For a plan map, this is the center elevation.
For 3D DXF vector files, the intersection of the DXF and the section (or plan) plane will be computed and a polygon feature class of that intersection will be added so that it displays correctly into the oriented data frame. There is also a Front & Back slice, corresponding to the front and back of the section thickness, respectively.
Since DXF files do not store any coordinate system information within the file, only DXF files whose coordinate system matches that of the drillhole project currently in use should be imported using this option. 3D Shapefiles do not get sliced, but the whole shape is projected on to the plane of the map.
