Plot holes out to this distance from the section trace
|
Only holes or portions of holes coming within this distance of the
section trace are plotted.
|
Plot holes vertically
|
Normally, any location in a hole is projected to the closest
location along the section. Because the section is not straight, this can
produce "fun-house mirror" effects, including caustics, and abrupt jumps along
the section trace at convex or concave locations. By plotting the holes
vertically, using the projection of the collar location, it is possible to view
hole data (profiles, bar graphs, etc.) while preserving some relative location
information, based on the collar.
