Visualize Data in Profile Windows

After you open a spreadsheet and display one or more channels, you have the option of displaying them in graphical (profile) form in a Profile window. The Profile window is composed of sub-windows called panes, which appear directly below its corresponding database. You can display up to five separate panes with 32 channels of data in each pane.

Display a Profile

  1. Select (highlight) the profile window pane in which you want to display a profile. The vertical bar on the left will be highlighted.

  2. Select (highlight) the channel header cell of the channel that you wish to profile, right-click, and from the pop-up menu select Show Profile.
The channel data will be displayed in the profile window.

View Multiple Profiles

The Profile window can have up to five unique panes. By default, the system displays only one pane, and you can display the second by either selecting the Split Window option on the Profile pane popup menu or by using a dragging procedure to resize the default pane and reveal the second pane. You then repeat this process to reveal the third, fourth and fifth pane.

Option 1: Splitting the Window

Use the Split Window menu option to display multiple windows:

  1. In your database, select (highlight) the channel that you wish to profile.

  2. Place your cursor in the profile window and click the right mouse button. The Profile popup menu will be displayed.

  3. Select Split Window and a new profile window will open. Note that the vertical bar on the left of the profile window is highlighted, indicating that this is the current profile window.

Option 2: Dragging the Window

Use a dragging procedure to resize the default pane:

  1. In your database, select (highlight) the channel that you wish to profile.

  2. Move your cursor over the double horizontal bar in the profile window; the cursor will change to a double arrow.

  3. Click the left mouse button and drag the profile window upward to reveal the second pane. Repeat this procedure to reveal the third, fourth and fifth panes.

  4. For a better view of your data, you can resize the database.
