ground line data

Ground-based line data is collected along relatively straight lines and roughly parallel lines. The survey lines normally have a line number that is related to the local coordinate system. Data readings can be taken anywhere along a line at identified station numbers, which are normally related to a ground coordinate system.

  • If you plan to add more data to your database, it is recommended to create a fiducial channel based on your station number data. This will allow you to import data at different times into the same database (e.g., at 50m, and later at 25m).
