ground line data

Ground-based line data is collected along relatively straight lines and roughly parallel lines. The survey lines normally have a line number that is related to the local coordinate system. Data readings can be taken anywhere along a line at identified station numbers, which are normally related to a ground coordinate system.

If you plan to add more data to your database, it is recommended to create a fiducial channel based on your station number data. This will allow you to import data at different times into the same database (e.g., at 50m, and later at 25m).

When importing ground data, you can:

• Use station numbers as fiducials
• Use reading numbers as fiducials
