Gaussian Filter
Use the Gaussian option to apply a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) Gaussian filter to a channel.
The filter option is available with the following extensions and menus:
- 1D FFT > 1D Filtering
- Moving Platform Gravity > Filters > Apply Single FFT Filter

|
Specifies the standard deviation of the Gaussian function in ground units. Script Parameter: FFTGAUSS.STDDEV |
|
|
Low or high pass filter |
Select Low or High pass filter. Default = Low Script Parameter: FFTGAUSS.PASS |
Application Notes
The Gaussian filter is a smooth filter commonly used for low-pass or high-pass applications. It provides gradual attenuation without sharp cutoffs, reducing artifacts such as ringing.
Gaussian Filter
Key Parameters:
k0: Standard deviation of the Gaussian function in cycles per ground unit.
(Similar to a cutoff, but the function amplitude at this point is only 0.39.)
0/1: Specify 0 for residual or 1 for regional filtering.
