Grid Mosaic from Grid File(s)

Use the Grid and Image > Merge Grids > Grid Mosaic from Grid File(s) menu option (MOSAIC GX) to create a single grid from multiple input grids.

Input grids

Select the grids to include in the mosaic:

  • Click the Browse (...) button.

  • Hold Ctrl to select multiple files.

All grids must:

  • Be located in the same directory

  • Be in the same file format

  • Use the same coordinate system (either all geographic or all projected)

If grids do not meet these requirements, an error message will identify the issue and the problematic grid.

Output grid

Specify the name and location of the output grid file where the mosaic will be saved.

Application Notes

The output grid is created:

  • Large enough to contain all input grids

  • Using the projection and resolution of the first selected grid

During processing:

  • Grids are reprojected and resampled if necessary

  • Only non-dummy (non-null) values are used

  • If grids overlap, values from later grids replace values from earlier grids
