Edit Channels
When multiple channels are selected, you can right‑click any selected channel header to open a context menu with options for managing and repositioning the selected channels. The Edit menu option lets you modify shared properties across multiple selected channels at once, including regular channels and array channels.
Open the Edit Channels Dialog
-
In the database, select two or more channels (Ctrl‑ or Shift‑select).
-
Right‑click any selected channel header.
-
Choose Edit from the context menu.
The Edit Channels dialog opens. A banner at the top indicates how many channels are selected and confirms that changes apply to all selected channels.

Application Notes
The Edit Channels dialog allows you to efficiently standardize metadata and display settings while preserving intentional differences between channels. The -different values- indicators and the indeterminate Protected state ensure that only the attributes you choose to change are applied across the selection.
How Multi‑Channel Editing Works
-
All changes apply to the selected channels.
-
Only the attributes you explicitly modify are updated.
-
Attributes you do not change remain unchanged for each channel.
Validation and Limitations
-
All fields are validated before changes are applied.
-
Invalid entries (for example, non‑numeric values for Field width or Decimals) are flagged and must be corrected.
-
Long text values may be truncated at internal limits without warning.
