Edit Channel dialog options

Name

The name of the channel. This appears in the channel header cell.

Label

An optional label for the channel. When plotting channel data, the label will be displayed instead of the channel name.

If you import a channel with an invalid name (e.g. "My 34 .. chan"), the software will generate a valid name (e.g. "My_34____chan") and store the original name in the channel label. This allows users to retain and display non-valid names when plotting.

The type of data in the channel.

This field is read-only and can only be set during data import.

The size of the data array. For example, radiometric data may have arrays up to 256.

The classification of the channel (e.g., ASSAY, MASK).
