Strip Logs Tool Pane
Summary
Use the Strip Logs tool to create a new Strip Log report. A strip log is a graphical report of a single drillhole, displayed vertically down the page. Geologists use strip logs (or drill logs) to represent a single drillhole with a summary report.
Strip Logs are created in ArcGIS Pro by using several native tools and new workflows, together in combination. Layouts define the way map elements are laid out on the page. Map frames are used to show categorical data strips such as lithology, alteration, or other text-based data. Charts are used to build each of the data strips for 'numeric' attributes such as assay or geochemical values.
Usage
The Strip Log Tool has three tabs: Layout, Data Strips and Appearance:
-
Layout - allows you to import a predefined layout file that can be used as the basis for creating a new strip log.
-
Data Strips - allows you to select the feature class data and attributes to place into the strip log.
-
Appearance - allows you to modify the appearance of selected data in the chart or map frames.
