Import Data
There are several different types of surface and subsurface data that can be imported using Target for ArcGIS Pro. You can browse the topics in the Import Data section, or you can use the list below to go directly to the topic you need:
-
Import one (or multiple) Geosoft grids (.grd) as raster datasets in a geodatabase. These can be elevation data, geochemical or geophysical grids, or vertical section rasters (e.g., slices from voxels).
-
Modify the appearance of raster data using tools designed to apply a specific, customized symbology to a selected raster layer.
-
Import a Geosoft voxel (.geosoft_voxel) as a NetCDF file (NC). The "voxel layer" is then automatically visualized in your current Scene; it can also be imported directly into a new Scene.
-
Import subsurface mesh datasets from a Geosoft Surface (.geosoft_surface) file or an Open Mining Format (OMF) file. These will import as multipatch feature classes in a feature dataset.
-
Import drillhole data to an Esri geodatabase from a variety of sources including:
-
Text or CSV files
-
Excel or Access files
-
ODBC connections
-
acQuire GIM Suite databases
-
Target projects
-
Import custom drillhole symbology to ensure consistency across projects or among users.
