View Drawings

Summary

The View tab of the Geologic Interpretations tool can be used to view and assess the quality of your feature class interpretations. For more details on creating feature classes check Create Feature Class.

Usage

Use the View tab to control the display of the interpretations. Once a detailed, complex set of drawings (interpretations) is available, you can look at one "rock type" (attribute) at a time or by one or more sections at a time. This is also a very useful tool for viewing the drawing datatset.

Parameters

Parameter Explanation

Feature Class

Name

 Select a Geologic Interpretations Feature Class from the list of feature classes created in the current drillhole dataset.

Interpretation

Click the drop-down arrow button to turn on/off the visibility of all the interpretations in the selected feature class:

  • Show All
  • Show None

View by

Use the drop-down control to select and view the interpretations by one of the following criteria:

  • Attribute: when an Attribute item is checked/unchecked, the current scene/map updates to show/hide the selected/deselected attribute drawings.
  • Section: checking/unchecking a Section will show/hide all drawings that are located inside the section extents (the 3D box that defines the section location in X, Y and Z).
    For a drawing to be considered "inside" a section, at least a portion of the drawing must intersect the section extents box.
