Calculate Axial Symmetry and Polarizability Noise
Use the Calculate Axial Symmetry and Polarizability Noise option (Geosoft.uxo.gxnet.dll(Geosoft.GX.UXO.UxaCalculateAxSymBetaNoise;Run)*) from the menu AGC Expert User > Static Data Inversion to calculate axial and plate-like symmetry and polarizability noise values for each source in the source database.
Calculate Axial Symmetry and Polarizability Noise dialog options
Source database | Select the source database. Script Parameter: UXANALYZE.SOURCEGDB |
Group | Select the source group. Script Parameter: UXANALYZE.SOURCEGROUP |
Mask channel | Select the mask channel. Script Parameter: UXANALYZE.TARGETMASK |
Application Notes
When the GX is run, the following channels will be created/updated in the source database:
- UXA_AXIAL_SYM: Determines a measure of how well second and third polarizabilities match for axial symmetry.
- UXA_PLATE_SYM: Determines a measure of how well first and second polarizabilities match for plate-like symmetry.
- UXA_BETANOISE_PTS1: Determines the number of points where the first polarizability increases with time.
- UXA_BETANOISE_VAL1: Determines the total polarizability value for the points where the first polarizability increases with time.
- UXA_BETANOISE_PTS2: Determines the number of points where the second polarizability increases with time.
- UXA_BETANOISE_VAL2: Determines the total polarizability value for the points where the second polarizability increases with time.
- UXA_BETANOISE_PTS3: Determines the number of points where the third polarizability increases with time.
- UXA_BETANOISE_VAL3: Determines the total polarizability value for the points where the third polarizability increases with time.
- UXA_BETANOISE_PTS: UXA_BETANOISE_PTS1 plus UXA_BETANOISE_PTS2 plus UXA_BETANOISE_PTS3.
- UXA_BETANOISE_VAL: UXA_BETANOISE_VAL1 plus UXA_BETANOISE_VAL2 plus UXA_BETANOISE_VAL3.
*The GX tool will search in the "gx" folder. The GX.Net tools, however, are embedded in the Geosoft.uxo.gxnet.dll located in the bin folder. If running this GX interactively, bypassing the menu, first change the folder to point to the bin folder, then supply the GX.Net tool in the specified format.
