Anomaly Statistics

Use the Anomaly Statistics option (UXOANOMSTAT GX) to calculate the statistics of a selected range of (anomalous) data in a database.

Measure Anomaly Statistics dialog options

Data channel

The currently selected channel.

Line

The currently marked line or line.

Fiducial range

The Fiducial range of the selection.

Number of data points

The number of items in the selected data.

Anomaly minimum

The minimum value of the anomaly.

Anomaly maximum

The maximum value of the anomaly.

Anomaly amplitude

The peak to peak amplitude of the anomaly.

Anomaly wavelength

The wavelength of the anomaly, in the database distance units.

Anomaly stats file name

Specify the name of the statistics file. Use the Browse button to navigate to the desired location.

Default file name is AnomStats.txt.

Script Parameter: UXOANOMSTAT.FILE

[Save - New File]

Select the Save - New File button to save the statistics report to the file specified in Anomaly stats file name. If the file exists, the user will get a prompt to overwrite the file or enter a new file name. The dialog will be closed after the statistics is saved.

[Save - Append]

Select the Save - Append button to append the statistics report to the file specified in Anomaly stats file name. The dialog will be closed after the statistics is saved.

Application Notes

Select a data channel in the database, highlight /mark a range of anomalous data in a database profile window, and run the Measure Anomaly Statistics tool. A dialog will display the statistics for the selected anomalous data; these can be optionally saved to a text file.

Statistics File Format

The statistics data will be saved as follows:

Database, Channel, Line, Fid_Start, Fid_End, Num_Datapoints, Min, Max, Amplitude, Wavelength
