Set Azimuth

The Profile Azimuth is the direction of the profile (Y=0) from a real-world coordinate perspective. When importing stations, the first point in your profile will define the model origin and a best-fit line through the (X,Y) values is calculated as the default Azimuth of your model. You can also manually set the azimuth of the profile from the Profile menu.

To Set the Azimuth

1. On the Profile menu, select Set Azimuth. The Azimuth dialog appears.

2. Enter the Profile azimuth.

3. Click OK. The changes appear in the model.
