Flipping a Model

Sometimes a model is reversed relative to the other data sets (i.e. seismic lines) and it is more convenient to reverse the model direction than to attempt to flip the other data. Perhaps your digitised file contains uses the wrong sign for Z-values. Flip over X and Flip over Z enable you to mirror the model and data about the profile origin (0,0) to correct these problems.

You may with to use a combination of flipping and shifting your model to position it correctly relative to your other data.

To Flip a Model

1. On the Execute menu, select Flip over X or Flip over Z. The model flips on the selected axis.
