Extract Model Horizons to Database
Use the Extract Model Horizons to Database menu option to extract named horizons from GM-SYS Profile models in the workspace into a new database, or to refresh previously extracted horizons in an existing horizon database. Select the horizons to be extracted, then the selected horizons will be sampled from each model and placed in the output database.
Extract Model Horizons to Database dialog options
Output database |
Specify a name for the output database. If Select Database Line is selected under Sampling location, the database must already exist. |
Sampling location |
Select the Model Profile, Gravity Stations, or Magnetic Stations; each defines a path along which the points defining the horizon will be projected. In these cases, models that match any existing database lines will be overwritten. Select Database Line to use locations in previously extracted horizon line(s) in the output database to refresh the horizon values. Of the selected horizons, only those with a corresponding line in the specified output database will be refreshed – new horizons will not be created for models not already in the output database. |
Sample interval |
Specify the constant sample interval on which to sample the model horizons. Sample interval is optional for Gravity or Magnetic Stations, required for Model Profile, and disabled for Database line. |
Available horizons |
Select (highlight) the horizons to be sampled and written to the database. The list includes all unique horizons found in the Active Models in the workspace (see below). |
Selected horizons |
Your selected Horizons to extract are displayed here. |
Add - > |
Click the Add - > button to add the selected (highlighted) Available horizons to the Selected horizons window. |
< - Remove |
Click the < - Remove button to remove the selected (highlighted) Selected horizons back to the Available horizons window. |
Active Models |
Click the Active Models button, to open the Select Active Models dialog, which enables you to specify which models in your workspace are designated as "Active" and will be processed. |
Application Notes
- Only Active models will be searched for Available horizons.
- Horizon names are not case sensitive.
- Each model is mapped to a database line, and each horizon to a database channel.
