Gravity Gradients: Display and Units

Normal gravity (Gz) and six gradient tensor components may be displayed in the gravity anomaly window.

• Vertical gradient of the vertical component of gravity (zz)

• Gradient in the X direction of the X component gravity (xx)

• Gradient in the Y direction of the Y component of gravity (yy)

• Gradient in the X direction of the vertical component of gravity (zx)

• Gradient in the Y direction of the vertical component of gravity (zy)

• Gradient in the X direction of the Y component of gravity (xy)

Individual gradient components can be toggled on and off in the Gradients menu. Gradient values are input and displayed in Eötvös Units.
