SEG-Y Configuration Files

The SEG-Y Configuration workflow produces a configuration specific to the SEG-Y file currently loaded. You may save the configuration to a file on disk, so that subsequent reloading of the SEG-Y will not require repeating the configuration process.

By default, SEG-Y Reader looks for and automatically loads the configuration file with the same name as the SEG-Y file being loaded and the extension ".segy_config" appended to it.

Once a configuration file has been created, you should keep it in the same directory as the original SEG-Y file.

From the Configure menu, select Load Configuration to specify a configuration to load.
