Getting Started with SEG-Y Reader

The SEG-Y Reader is part of the GM-SYS Profile Modelling application for Oasis montaj. SEG-Y Reader reads 2D and 3D SEG-Y format data files and exports them to formats that may be loaded into GM-SYS Profile Modelling and/or Oasis montaj for 2D- and 3D-displays.

To Start SEG-Y

From Oasis montaj, confirm the GM‑SYS menu is loaded. If not, load the menu.
On the 3D View menu, select Run SEG-Y Reader. You can also click the SEG-Y Reader button on the GM‑SYS toolbar. SEG-Y Reader opens in a new window.
When first opened, SEG-Y Reader will show no file selected, and only the File and Help menus will be available.
From the File menu, select to open and edit a 2D SEG-Y or 3D SEG-Y file.
