Data Definitions
You must be an Imago admin to access the Data Definitions list.
This part of the help describes how to set up each of these datatypes in the Imago Admin Portal.
Data definitions are the basis for all data collection in Imago. There are five data types that can be defined.
- Imagery types () are logical grouping of image types, attributes and features. Imagery types are added to datasets in the Workspaces part of the Imago Admin Portal.
- Feature definitions () are the basis of annotations made on images in the Imago Portal. Feature definitions are added to datasets by being incorporated into imagery types.
- Attribute definitions () allow you to incorporate structured data into Imago. Attributes can be a string, a note, a number, a date or a colour. Attribute definitions are added to datasets by being incorporated into imagery types or feature definitions.
- Labels are useful for identifying collections and images that have a particular characteristic. Label definitions () are added to datasets by being incorporated into datasets or imagery types.
- Legends () can be defined for attributes that are a string, a number or a date. Legend definitions are added to datasets by being incorporated into attribute definitions.
Here we can see how a workspace collects these definitions into datasets containing imagery types:
Imagery types, in turn, can be made up of:
- Original image types, which are those captured using Imago Capture X or Imago Mobile
- Derived image types, such as cropped images and downhole reconstructions derived from original image types
- Attribute definitions
- Feature definitions
