Graphics Attributes
The concept of a graphics attribute replaces and expands upon the concept of a pen used in previous versions of the Geosoft graphics system. Graphics attributes include: line colour, thickness and style; fill colour; and text height, width, spacing, slant, and font.
Every plot file has an associated attribute table, which is a named list of attributes. Graphics entities can be drawn using an attribute selected from the attribute table. For example, many buildings on a map may use the same attributes to draw all buildings (perhaps a black line of 500 microns thickness, for example). Rather than the entity for each building specifying its own attributes, each can simply refer to the same entry in the attribute table. This not only saves space, but enables you to change the attribute of all buildings by changing only the attribute table.
To override the attribute table, see the Attributes Override topic.
